Book Review: Crafting Great Stories by Gerald Gallagher

If you're thinking of venturing in the world of writing fiction, you're going to want a simple, easy to understand book that holds your hand through everything you need to know from how to develop your story right the way through to editing and publication.

As such, the book lacks depth, but as we all know, depth can be the most frightening thing to a new writer. Save the depth for later, when you realise there's a lot more to writing than doodling in a notepad on a Sunday afternoon. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, but at some point you have to sit down and do the work.)

So if you're new to writing, and want an easy entry point that will give you the broad brushstrokes of creating a story readers will love, you could do a LOT worse than this book.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
